One-Eighty is a psychology-focused behaviour support charity for young people (aged 4-18) and their families. We work closely with schools, Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Virtual Schools for Looked After Children, Social Services and other professionals to turn lives around through prevention projects and intensive intervention programmes. Our aim is to reintegrate young people back into education, by getting to the root cause of their behaviour, for example; their anxiety or anger and other mental health needs that often result in avoidance, truancy and poor school attendance. On Sunday 2nd June One-Eighty will be holding a 12 hour Swimathon at Brookes Sport (Harcourt Hill) in Oxford! Come along to raise money by swimming a few laps or helping out on the poolside. This is also a great opportunity to meet the team, and find out more about volunteering with us. Whether you're just looking for a Sunday morning swim, or you'd like to join our community projects, we'd love to have you! We are currently looking for volunteers to help with: - fundraising - Summer Project (a programme aimed at supporting young people over the summer holidays, specifically aimed at those who have made an improvement over the last academic year, but who may be at risk of losing momentum) - Make Me Smile (a community project delivering sessions in local primary schools, raising positive awareness of mental health in an easy and understandable way) Get in touch to find out more about our opportunities!
