Online Event

For Volunteers' Week 2019 we are hosting online awards for local volunteering.  Last year we saw some amazing stories from the nominations across the sector so this year we'll be adding new categories so we can truly recognise and embrace the fantastic work our volunteers do. This year we'll be taking nominations for: Young Volunteer  For any volunteer aged 25 and under who have demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm to their volunteering role, who may have developed in a personal capacity and is keen to learn new skills. Older Volunteer For any volunteer aged 60 and over who have demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm to their volunteering role by sharing their skills, wisdom and knowledge. Trustee Recognising the work of trustees; perhaps you have a board member who has shown great commitment or who have developed your organisation through their skills and expertise.   Female Trustee The Female Trustee Award is not about men versus women, or whether a particular gender is more suited to a career or role, it is simply about celebrating and recognising the achievements of women in a sector where they are currently under-represented. We, ourselves, are addressing this by running a Trusted Women project that seeks to increase the number of woman on charity boards throughout Cheshire. Family volunteering Families come in all shapes and sizes. This award is for anyone who has also enlisted the help of their younger family members. This could be taking part in a litter pick; helping to organise an event or anything that has made a difference to their local community. Friends of Groups This award recognises outstanding effort and time dedicated to the care and conservation of our environment and community.  Skillshare business For any CWVA SkillShare volunteer who has donated their professional skills and expertise in order to help charities deliver their services more effectively and create a better local community. CWVA Inspiration For any volunteer who has made an exceptional contribution to volunteering and who inspires others through their actions. Volunteers may have overcome adversity or challenges in their volunteering journey.  Assistance/Therapy Animal [please send a picture] This award recognises animals that work as valued members of the community. It will be awarded to those that perform Therapy and Assistance work.
