Volunteers’ Social

Positive Help
Private Event

To celebrate Volunteers' Week 2019, we are pleased to invite you to our Volunteers' Social! The evening will include a presentation from Dr Richard Cosway on ‘Why is it so challenging to care for people who need help?’ Richard is a clinical psychologist who has worked with many patients living with long-term physical health conditions, including HIV and Hepatitis C. Richard will explore how the associated mental health issues of those living with long-term health conditions, can affect their behaviour towards those trying to help them. There will also be plenty of time to talk to other volunteers and have some fun! The talk begins at 6pm, but doors will be open from 5.30pm. Refreshments will be available before and after the talk and there will be plenty of time to mingle with other volunteers and staff. So we can adequately cater the event, please RSVP via the link sent to you by staff.
